M.A.C Makeup Haul
I recently went to my local M.A.C store to check out the new collections that had arrived. I was so happy to see the 'Novel Romance' collection in store. The eyeshadow quads are so beautiful and the 'Electric Cool' eyeshadows feel and look so luxurious.
Check out the photos below, to see exactly what I picked up.
I have never before really paid much attention to the Mineral collection at M.A.C until my last visit. I think this winter has really taken a toll on my skin, and especially my lips. Each product in the Mineralize range at M.A.C contains 77 Bio-Minerals, that help moisturize, hydrate and nourish the skin. I love the rich creamy texture of the lipsticks and lipgloss in this range. I chose a nice bright orangy/red lipstick called 'Fashion Trip' to help bring out the blue in my eyes. The lipgloss colour is called 'Eloquently Elegant' and is a perfect every-day lipgloss. I was running out of mascara and thought I would give this mineralize one a whirl. It contains 'Shea Butter' and 'Conditioning Extracts' to help keep the lashes soft, flexible and separated from root to tip
I have always wanted the 'Viva Glam Rihanna' lipglass, I was so excited to get one this trip to M.A.C and even more so when I saw that the 'Viva Glam Rihanna II' was out. I couldn't help but buy both of these ultra sparkly glosses. For those of you that don't know about 'Viva Glam', its a fantastic charity set up by M.A.C. They have a range of beautiful lipsticks and lip glosses, where 100% of the proceeds go to the M.A.C Aids Fund. This money goes to adults and children all around the world who suffer from Aids an HIV. Its great seeing such a big and well known company giving back to those in need. 'A Novel Romance' is a beautiful enchanting collection of limited makeup products. It uses rich, tempting shades of deep blue, soft pink hues, mixed with sparkling bronzie-golds and seductive red and plum colours. I am completely in love with the below eyeshadow. It is one of the 'Electric Cool' eyeshadows in colour 'Coil'. Its springy formula makes it almost cream like. You can use it dry or wet to create a colour intense sparkly eye look. I have been using the 'Fluidline' gel liner pots for years now, so I was very intrigued to see this new formula put into a pencil. I bought the colour 'Black Brilliance'. This liner sets and doesn't move. I like to draw it on and then smudge it with a pencil brush to help create a smokey effect.
The lipstick I picked from this range is called 'Myself'. This is a soft shimmery nude/beige colour and a perfect pairing with dramatic eyes.
Even though I have about 60 nail polish colours at home, I could not leave without one of the beautifully rich colours from this range. I decided on 'Sunset Sky'. I love the deep burgundy/red colouring of this nail polish and have already used it twice since I bought it last week.
