My New Favorite Nail Polish
I have a new favorite nail polish!!!! (These are the words my husband never wants to hear me utter), but its true...I do! Last week was my birthday, and while shopping in Melbourne with some friends, one of them stopped to show me this brand of nail polish I had never heard of before, 'Kester Black'. She couldn’t stop raving about how well it applied and stayed on. As a little birthday gift, she and one other friend bought me one, in the colour of my choice. I chose colour 'Fairy Floss', which is a beautiful summery light, pastel pink.
Now the reason my husband hates haring about new nail polishes (other than him being a guy, that doesn’t really care about that kind of thing) is that I have quite a hefty collection of nail polishes. I use to keep them in the fridge to keep them from going gluggy (not sure if this actually works) but I have way too many for that now. I do like going and getting the occasional manicure, but I find it so relaxing painting my own nails, that I tend to do it myself more often than not. As soon as I got home from my Melbourne trip, I removed my old nail polish and got ready to apply my new birthday prezzy. The brush that comes in the Kester Black nail polish is designed so well. It’s wide and flat, so that it almost covered my whole nail with one swipe. The polish went on perfectly with no streakiness. It has a slightly thicker gel like consistency and after applying two coats of polish; I was left with an even, glossy and opaque finish. I used a one layer of ‘Rejuvacote’ as a base coat, two layers of the ‘Kester Black’ nail polish, and finished off the look with one layer of ‘O.P.I Rapidry Top Coat’. It has been four days now and I have absolutely no chips or pealing, the polish still looks as good as it did when I first applied it, and I have had several comments on how professional my nails look.
Not only are these nail polishes AMAZING, but they are also 100% Australian owned and produced. They use "sustainable production methods" and are also 100% cruelty free and vegan, (meaning no animal testing, or animal product).
Needless to say I cant wait to get a few more Kester Black colours to squeeze into my collection...Shhhhh...don't tell my husband...
